Pilates is for Every Body

 What is Pilates?

Pilates is a  low-impact workout that is comprised of a series of core exercises that helps strengthen, lengthen, tone, your whole body, as well as stabilize and support your spine and back.

Pilates is based on 6 Principles:

  1. Breath

  2. Concentration

  3. Control

  4. Precision

  5. Balance

  6. Flow

Each of these principles is incorporated into a 50 minutes whole body workout that leaves your body and mind energized and focused.

Who should do Pilates?

Pilates is good for every body! Pilates was designed as a form of rehabilitation, and later it was shown all body types benefitted from these workouts. Pilates is great for individuals rehabilitating an injury, to athletes looking to enhance performance, to regular people aged 12 to 100 looking to lengthen and strengthen their muscles while improving balance and stamina. Each person will see results in as little as 10 session and will enjoy a stronger, more balanced body, with increased energy.

"A year ago I was looking for something to increase my upper body strength, expand my flexibility, improve my balance and build core strength so I could better compete in basketball at the National Senior Games. That's when I found La's Pilates courses. Pilates has helped me immensely, enough that at 63 I was able to win a gold medal with my team in Pittsburgh at this year's event. Pilates is the staple of my weekly routine. Thanks La!" -- Billie Smith
